English is one of the most spoken languages of the world which is having its impact on every field of work. Undoubtedly, English plays a much greater role in the world that it is inevitable for people to ignore it.

In EmeraldField Schools, English Studies is taught in various divisions – Grammar, Reading & Comprehension, Creative Writing, Phonics and Spelling and Verbal Reasoning by capable hands.

The pupils and students are taught to construct correct and meaningful sentences; express themselves boldly in public, write elaborately, interpret texts as well as spell words correctly.

Aside the regular class activities, we try to drive home the concepts of English by organising some outdoor activities, one of which is our Spelling Bee Competitions, in which pupils and students spell a range of words.

Another of such activities is our “Mind Your Language Session,” which holds every Monday during our assembly. Here, the sounds and words associated with them are taught, wrong grammatical expressions as well as wrongly pronounced words are corrected and a host of others. Teachers are made to reinforce these in their various classes.

An additional activity is our class presentations in which each class is given an opportunity on the assembly at their assigned week to perform, (an act of building public speaking). Pupils and students conduct the assembly as well as make presentations on their class days. On such days, every child in each class is carried along.
